PHILOSOPHY
At BioclimaticX we strive to look at buildings as part of nature. Together they can create a synergy that can lower energy bills, increase indoor air quality, and increase productivity of the building and the inhabitants. We enthusiastically embrace a reconstruction of nature, just as we would ‘the real thing.’ Humans have a strong proclivity to Nature and by guiding the design process with a sustainable approach that reduces overall environmental impact while integrating ‘reconstructions’ of nature, we achieve a product that gives people a new perspective on ‘Nature’ and ’systems-thinking’ and ‘ways of living.’ We try to draw from the fields of biophilia, bioclimatic design and architecture, perma-culture, horticulture, landscape architecture, genetics, hydroponics, and aqua-ponics. As designer, or just as humans, we are stewards of the earth. We think these things are going to be very helpful things in building a sustainable community, things like growing your own food, or growing plants to clean air will help us achieve a more sustainable lifestyle for 100% of Humanity.
CATCH PHRASE
Integrating Climate and Energy in the Built Environment
BIOCLIMATIC
| Adj. | 1. | bioclimatic — of or concerned with the relations of climate and living organisms |
WHAT A STRANGE NAME?
Well, it comes from the idea that we want to design all types of bioclimatic buildings–like a school, church, factory, recycling center, hospital. So its a fill in the blank, like in algebra, you can substitute X for anything, and at BioclimaticX we want to design all types for bioclimatic buildings.…or maybe, just maybe it stand for Bioclimatic Xtreme!.…jk!
